Today, I’m thrilled to announce that Logixboard has raised a $4.2M seed round, led by Social Leverage, with participation from F-prime Capital, Founders’ Co-op, Techstars Ventures, Liquid 2 Ventures, Bragiel Brothers, and others. With this new round of financing, we will continue to build and develop the digital engagement platform of record for the two trillion dollar freight forwarding industry.
Back in 2016, my brother and co-founder Juan Alvarez and I founded Logixboard with a single mission: to help freight forwarders digitize and build more efficient operations. Having worked at Pilot Freight Services, one of the largest freight forwarders in the world, we understood that digitization was inevitable. A such, we took on the quest to provide better tooling for freight forwarders through Logixboard 1.0.
Logixboard 1.0 has been a tremendous success. It has powered thousands of shipments and helped freight forwarders automate and deliver a superior customer experience. We’ve successfully built integrations to some of the leading back-office applications in the freight forwarding industry, and developed deep domain and technical expertise. More importantly, we’ve understood that to enhance freight forwarding operations successfully, we must double down on shipment management, shipment visibility, and data analytics.
Enter Logixboard 2.0. By leveraging the power of state-of-the-art UI, data analytics, and deep system integrations, we are building the engagement system of record to fuel the entire freight forwarding industry. Our shipment management dashboard helps freight forwarders deliver more transparency to their customers and automate many labor-intensive functions around shipment reporting and customer management. Rich analytics helps freight forwarders augment their customer experience and provides the necessary data insights to optimize the way that they engage with their customers. The new platform will be rolled out before the end of the year and launched across multiple countries and languages.
Our mission with Logixboard 2.0 is simple, to help traditional freight forwarders compete and stay at the forefront of innovation in today’s digital landscape. For this reason, we’ve relocated our company from Miami to Seattle, and are assembling a team filled with the world’s top logistics, SaaS, data analytics, and machine learning talent. We are happy to count with some incredible investors to share our journey with.
We are delighted to have raised a total of $4.2 million in seed funding, led by Social Leverage. Gary Benitt, a partner at Social Leverage, has joined our board, and brings decades of experience starting SaaS companies and working as COO of Desk, a Salesforce Company.
